Our MOQ starts at 100 pieces per style, 50 for tote bags. Why an MOQ exists, how to start small, and what makes the minimum vary.

MOQ for clothing manufacturing in India

The first question from a brand that wants to produce in India: what is the minimum quantity? For us it's 100 pieces per style, and 50 for tote bags.

Why an MOQ exists

The MOQ (minimum order quantity) covers what has to be paid before the first piece: development, the pattern, machine setup, fabric purchase. Below a certain volume, launching a run costs more than making it. The MOQ keeps the run viable, for you and for the factory.

Our MOQ, concretely

  • Garments: 100 pieces per style.
  • Tote bags: 50 pieces.
  • An MOQ can be split across several colourways of the same style.

Starting small

We always start with a prototype, one piece, approved before the run. It's the right way to test a style without tying up cash. We support brands that are starting out, from the sketch to the first run.

What makes the minimum vary

Fabric weighs the most: a custom weave has its own minimum. Technique matters too, hand embroidery, printing, washes. The more specific it gets, the higher the minimum. On materials available locally, we keep the MOQ low.
